In Japanese, Rei means “universal” or “spiritual” and ki means “life force energy.” This life force energy is transferred from practitioner to client through the practitioner's hands affecting the body’s energy centers or chakras in ways that promote physical, mental, & emotional balance. The style of Reiki practiced in Sens8tion is called Usui Reiki Ryoho which was discovered in Japan in the early 1900’s by an enlightened Buddhist Monk named Mikao Usui. Reiki is completely effective without any physical touch since it is energy and thus “non physical." That being said, Rachel does offer intuitive bodywork as an optional therapeutic technique in her sessions.
What to expect
Before each session, clients are sent a Reflection & Intake form to guide intention-setting & contemplation on areas of their life & body that they’d like to nurture. *Where attention goes energy flows* During the session all that's required is an open heart & mind to receive the Reiki energy which will always support the recipient's highest wellbeing. Sens8tion in-person energy work sessions incorporate various components to promote the transfer of Reiki including intuitive touch, sound bath, aromatherapy, guided meditation, crystal placement, and oracle card reading. Since Reiki is not bound by space or time, it can be sent from afar, allowing clients to book distance sessions if they can’t make it in person. These sessions are held over a voice or video call & incorporate breath-work, meditation, & oracle reading to produce effects just as powerful as in-person!

In addition to in-person energy work sessions, distance offerings are provided through the Lunar Reiki Journey and Astro Reiki. The Lunar Reiki Journey provides one month of weekly distance Reiki sessions synced with personalized astrology & full and new moon ritual. This is a perfect way to begin or recommit to a spiritual practice, aligning mind & body over the course of a full lunar cycle. Astro Reiki is a two part offering, providing a focused birth chart reading followed by a Reiki session on a new or full moon to integrate the astrological insights.
